5/12/09 … Watery Eye
I haven’t been able to figure out why, but for about a week now my eye has been watering throughout the day. Not to the extent that I look like I’m crying or anything but I often notice it. If I’m laying down and reading, I often need a kleenex to blot my eye every hour or two.

I was so glad to find your blog. I’ve just had a conjunctival pigmented lesion removed from my right eye a week ago. I think it’s healing okay (I’m going for my one-week post-op tomorrow), but I’m sweating bullets waiting for the biopsy results! My mother died from cuteanous melanoma when she was in her 40s, and I know that because of the family history and my skin type (fair skin, blue eyes, many, many moles) I’m at very high risk of developing the disease (my surgeon went out of her way to remind me that “people die from this,you know”). My surgeon would not tell me if she thought it was malignant or not, and she is not very tactful, so I’m really dreading the conversation with her, whenever it happens! Anyway, being able to find someone who has been through this whole process and come out the other end has been extremely helpful, so I want to thank you for sharing your story. Maybe I’ll do the same thing; I think that the more information that’s available to other people going through similar experiences, the better for all of us.
